So one thing you should know about me is… I’m seriously OBSESSED with Hot Chocolate!
I would be perfectly pleased to drink it every single morning and night if I didn’t know that overtime it would make me unhealthy and fat. Sadly, being and feeling healthy is far more important to me than indulging, all the time, in even my very favorites…

Soooo, on my quest to be healthy, I have experimented with how to recreate a healthier version of Hot Chocolate. Last December I created a yummy warm drinking chocolate that would please any hot chocolate lover! Here it is:

My Homemade Hot Cocoa Recipe

Ingredients:
– 1 cup almond milk (how to make homemade almond milk)
– 3 pitted dates (for natural sweetness)
– 1 tbsp. ground cocoa powder
– A few shakes of ground cinnamon
OR   1 drop of cinnamon CPTG essential oil  (What are essential oils?)
– 1 scoop Vanilla Trimshake (protein shake from doTERRA)

Instructions:
Warm up the almond milk on the stove.
Blend all ingredients up in a high speed blender.
Pour into special mug of choice; Enjoy!

It is important to have a good recipe! If you are anything like me, you LOVE drinking delicious hot chocolate but rarely indulge because of all the sugar and dairy… My body really doesn’t do well with either and I think most peoples’ don’t! Here is another recipe that has neither! So go ahead and indulge a little more this wintery season and enjoy a delicious mug of healthy hot chocolate. And have fun flavoring it with some essential oils.
